Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday April 5, 2021

The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:02 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President David Gilmour

Attendance – 20 members:, Bonnie Ault, Brian Murphy, Christine Burton, Cindy Thomas, Dave & Patti Gilmour, Doris Avery, Francine Gillanders, Karen Parton, Kim Long, Leah Quiring, Marta Nettelfield, Mary Curl, Lee & Mary Jane Nowak, Jenny and Michael Catton, Radhakrishnan Swaminathan, Jane Holika, Medley Small

Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.

Minutes: 
Dave: Good evening everyone. I would like to call the meeting to order and start with everyone typing in their name for attendance sake

Dave: Everyone should of had a chance to read last months minutes. Is there any errors or omissions?

Dave: Is there any business arising from the minutes?
If not, can we have the treasurer's report

Treasurer’s Report – Kim Long

• FEBRUARY 28, 2021 -Balance - $7217.05
• Service Charge - $19.00, Paper Statement - $2.00,
• Debit – Nil
• MARCH  31, 2021 - Balance - $7196.05

Membership Committee: Doris

• Doris: We have received a new member application from Akshatha Shetty of Calgary, Alberta.  Her sponsors, Cindy Thomas and Kirstan Sonnenberg have been contacted. 
• If anyone has any concerns, please let me know.

Obedience Committee:  Marta Nettelfield

• Marta: No Report

Awards Committee: Mary, Shirley, Marta, Cindy

• Mary:
• I have the following awards that have been submitted:
• One Ch, 3 GCh,  - one GrChEx, No SOM or DOM,
• Annuals: I have no dogs listed for the following: Glendora Trophy (Best in Show Boxer Puppy), Shcer-Khoun (Sire producing the most Ch), Glencotta – Most Best Brace in show, For the shadowdale Trophy (Most Ch in calendar year -I have one submission with two Ch.
• For Obedience (Royal Trophy) I have no submissions.
• Performance: I have 6 submission
• For Versitility I have one submission.
• I have put the list up at http://www.boxerclubofcanada.com/Awards2021.pdf so you can check, Send any corrections or additions to me ASAP
• I will be sending the list to create the plaques by next Monday.

Fund Raising Committee:  Patti

• Dave: Patti has nothing for Fundraising at this time

Reading of General Correspondence: Mellissa   (not in attendance)

• Dave: Any general correspondence that you know of Mary as Melissa is not here
• Mary: Not to my knowledge

Old Business:  
Mary: It seems that hardly any members have sent Jane info on training places in their areas.

• Dave: Thanks for the reminder. Please everyone get your area info to Jane so that she can update her files
• Leah: I can send Jane more contact info if not too late. Outside my area but close, kinda.
• Jane: Several members have sent the info, thanks to those. I’m still waiting for info from Atlantic Canada and BC.

Jane: Nothing to report. I hope we that all members are fine.

New Business:
Dave: I apologize we missed announcing the elections last month so we are opening nominations now till the 15th of May for the position of President and Corresponding secretary and then allow voting if necessary, till the 7th of June.

Dave: If nobody has anything else to add I would like to thank everyone for coming out and move the meeting be adjourned
